Bio: | Morgan Rider (born 07 December 1989 in Scarborough, Ontario) is a Canadian multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, songwriter, composer, concert promoter, artist manager and graphic/ web designer noted for his prominent work in the groups Vesperia and Crimson Shadows. Morgan has lived his entire life in the Greater Toronto Area, attending Durham College/ UOIT for Music Business Management/ Administration as well as creating a profile and numerous businesses surrounding his love of music and visual art. While studying at Durham College/ UOIT, Morgan performed across eastern Canada with multiple bands, organized/ hosted a myriad of concerts, organized short tours as well as penned all and more of the music which would become Vesperia’s first two full length albums and 3 demos. In 2013, Morgan performed overseas for the first time at Wacken Open Air in Wacken, Germany to an audience of over 15,000+ and taking home the title of International Wacken Battle Champions with the group Crimson Shadows. During the same year, both Crimson Shadows and Vesperia toured across Canada with Morgan playing back to back sets with both bands each night for 2 weeks. In early 2014, Morgan signed his first recording contract with Crimson Shadows with the international Austriabased metal/ hard rock label, Napalm Records. Upon the first label release, Morgan and Crimson Shadows toured across Canada, performing at Armstrong Metalfest as well as select dates with the US group, Battlecross. Immediately afterward, Crimson Shadows toured across central Europe supporting Alestorm and Brainstorm in 12 countries over a one month period. Several short central Canadian tours were to follow. In early 2015, Morgan parted ways with Crimson Shadows to focus on Vesperia, whom of which immediately recorded an EP, filmed several videos and toured the entirety of Canada from coast to coast. Immediately following the Canadian tour, Vesperia was invited to perform at Wacken Open Air 2015. |
