Bio:Update: In 2016 Oliver has already played more than 600 (!) shows on cruise ships in the Carribean and Japanese seas, training his music style diversity and sight reading abilities which are now impeccable. He speaks fluent English, Spanish and French. You are very much welcome to get in touch with one of the most experienced German rock/metal bass players. Oliver Holzwarth started his career as a bass player in 1985, when he cofounded German prog icons Sieges Even with whom he has co-written and recorded many albums. Joining German epic metal frontrunners Blind Guardian as a permanent studio & recording bassist (1997 to 2012) helped pushing the boundaries to become globally acknowledged. Meanwhile, Oliver has toured the world many times, not only with Blind Guardian, but he - for instance - helped Finnish superstar Tarja Turunen (former Nightwish) building her career as her touring bassist (2009 to 2010). Italian symphonic power metallists Rhapsody of Fire invited him to join the band in 2011. Oliver has been a band member until 2015. He is estimated to have played more than 2,000 shows. Hear his bass tone on more than 25 thundering records and DVDs. In 2013 he introduced his own musician and band coaching approach under the monicker of TalkingBassOnline (www.talkingbassonline.com), a web-based business offering personally tailored recording & coaching services, designed for bass players and musicians of all ages and levels of knowledge and experience.
